United in a Changing Landscape

Resilient Research completed in partnership with SAC

16th, December 2013

Cheviot Futures have recently commissioned SAC Consulting to undertake two research projects on our behalf, with the intention of providing a synopsis of relevant research to help guide farmers in their decision making going forward.

The first research project - Resilient Cropping - looks at the trials and research that have been undertaken across the UK and some projects from Europe in relation to crop types and varietal choices that will increase the resilience of arable cropping and grassland management to the effects of climate change.

The second project - Implications of climate change on pest and disease pressures - looks at trials, research and predictions in relation to the changes in pest and disease pressures to arable cropping, grassland management, livestock and woodland.

Further information is available on the Resilient Research project page.
